This unit is designed to transport components to/from work and installation locations in a safe and secure manner. Unit offers a fiberglass cover which is water tight and secured in place on a metal fabricated base assembly. Document storage receptacle and view port included. Hoist rings (4) are built into the top of the fiberglass cover and are to be utilized in removal/installation of the cover. Interior structure consists of many segregated pockets or receptacle areas to facilitate safe and proper support of items. Fan Blades, Fan Blade Platforms, and Blades have designated storage pockets, each identified by sequential number. This will keep all components in a recognizable and immediately accessible removal and/or installation format. Special foam is incorporated in several areas of this container to help secure individual components as well as safe-guard and cushion these items.

The Fan Rotor Spinner is securely attached to a specially designed vertically supported Ring Mounting Plate. This mounting plate is removable (secured by two quick release ball-lock pins) from its storage support weldment location to help in the  installation/removal of the two spinner components. Both forward and aft sections of this component are to bolt securely onto the Ring Mounting Plate.

ADVANCED GROUND SYSTEMS model AM-1241C Engine Overhaul Gantry has been designed specifically for overhaul of General Electric CF6-80A aircraft engines.  Each overhaul station consists of a three I-Beam load frame that is capable of elevating from approximately 13’8” to approximately 17’8”. The center beam of the load frame has two powered hoists of 10,000 pounds capacity each.  Each hoist is mounted on its own powered trolley providing traverse in a lateral direction.

Two out-board beams of the load frame are equipped with four non-powered beam trolleys each.  These trolleys have a capacity of 6,000 pounds each.  Fluorescent light fixtures are located along the outside of each out-board beam to provide adequate light while working on the engine.

The AM-2228 Engine Shipping Stand.(Cradle /Base Assembly) is designed to accommodate V2500-A1/A5 engines used on A319, A320, and A321 aircraft, with or without selected Engine Build Unit (EBU) hardware and components. The AM-1802/2563 Engine Handling System is designed to transport, and/or store the CFM International CFM56-3 Engine in QEC configuration. The engine handling system is compliant with CFMI Specification KXTO 4854 (Technical Specification for CFM56-3 Engine Shipping Stand). It is capable of being shipped (with engine) in the main deck cargo bays of B747F, B767F, MD11F, Transall, L100 Hercules, CL44 Guppy, and A300-600F Aircraft. The engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. Bootstrapping capabilities have been incorporated into the cradle design. A document container is secured to the cradle for all manuals and documents.

The transport base consists of a frame weldment supported by four shock absorbing caster assemblies. Each caster assembly offers a 5 inch wide by 10 inch diameter wheel for easy mobility and a weight capacity of 5,000 pounds each. Polyurethane tread wheels, position locks, and face brakes are standard. All four caster assemblies are designed to pin in an elevated position for air/truck transport of the entire unit, with engine. The tow bar stows on the base frame when not in use. Maximum towing speed of the unit is 5 km/h (3 MPH). Built-in shock absorbing mounts cushion all transport shocks and vibrations. A series of tie-down rings offer secure retainment during transportation of unit. Universal bases purchased prior to 1998 (serial numbers 101 thru 443) must have service bulletin 98-118 incorporated, otherwise, damage to the gearbox case will occur (see manual section 11.0).

The cradle consists of a steel weldment with tubular arms that support the engine ground handling mounts. The base consists of a steel weldment with retractable casters and integral shock mount assemblies for truck shipping. The cradle and base pin together using four safety pins.

The AGSE-E082 Universal Shipping Cradle consists of a steel welded frame with removable ground handling mounts compatible with the Trent 500 and Trent 700 Engine in modified QEC configuration. The mounts attach to the Core Intercase and Rear Turbine Housing. Tubular arms support the engine handling mounts. The aft mount supports pivot and react only vertical loads. The cradle pins securely to the base in either the air ship (lowered) or truck ship (raised) position. The mount supports fold to minimize empty shipping volume, and allow for stacking the empty stands. Multiple configurations of the AGSE-E082 are available. The -G01 and -G07 include only Trent 500 ground handling mounts. The -G02 and -G08 include only Trent 700 ground handling mounts. The -G03, -G09 and -G10 include mounts for both engines. -G01, -G02 and -G03 have an adjustable diagonal brace where the -G07, -G08, -G09 and G10 have a fixed length diagonal brace.
The AGSE-E079 Shipping Base consists of a steel welded frame with integral shock mounts to dampen ground handling shocks and vibrations when transporting the full engine. A manually driven ball screw system allows the cradle to raise and lower (depending on air or truck shipment configuration). A96 x 125 inch pallet with relief cutout for fan case clearance is included. Retractable shock absorbing casters are included with stand. The base contains fork channels located to allow fork lifting with the engine in the truck shipping position only (fork lock-outs cover the pockets when the cradle is in the air ship position). Two containers (one for spare ground handling mounts and the other for the drain mast and documents) are secured to the base.

The 9C6025-P02/P03 (AGSE p/n AGSE-E102-G02/G03) Transport Stand is designed to transport and/or store the General Electric GE90-94B and -115B series engines see section 3.2 below. The stand consists of a base and an engine support structure, cradle. The cradle separates from base for bootstrapping for quick engine change. The cradle may be raised or lowered to accommodate transport and or fan separate/mate requirements. Integral to the base are 4 jacks for leveling, stabilizing and raising the stand to retract casters. The jacks are operated by manual hydraulic pump. Integral to the cradle is a hydraulic cable lift system operated by manual pump and/or optional air-operated hydraulic pump. Forward mount adapters for both -94B and -115B engines are stored on the base. The 9C6030 Fan Transfer Stand is required for fan stator separate/mate procedure.

The 9C6025-P02 and the 9C6025-P03 are the same with the except of the 9C6025-P03 has special 94B forward propulsor mounts to be used with the AGSE G028 gantry system with T050 tooling.

The AGSE-E170 engine transportation system is designed to transport the Pratt & Whitney PW6124 engine for the Airbus Industrie A318 Aircraft with the basic Engine Build Unit (EBU)equipment. Engine and stand may be configured for transportation on commercial main deck cargo aircraft including the DC-8F, 727F and 737F, 747F, military aircraft such as the C130, C160 and C5A. Removable spacers with storage provisions for removed engine components are provided to achieve the height adjustment needed for installation into smaller aircraft. The AM-2472 Air/Truck Shipping Cradle and AM-2510 Pin Mounted Air/Truck Shipping Base are designed to transport, and/or, store the Pratt & Whitney PW2000 Engine in QEC configuration. The
stand is compliant with the design loads, dynamic loads, and interfaces identified in PW Purchase Performance Specification PPS1778 (Engine Transportation System for PW2037). The cradle is capable of being shipped on the main deck of B747 Freighter Aircraft. The engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. Manual bootstrapping attach points for B757 Aircraft have been
incorporated into the stand. A document container is secured to the base for all manuals and documents. The stand is fork liftable from either side.

The AGSE-E038-G01 Light Weight Breakdown Stand is designed to support the Pratt & Whitney JT8D-9/-17/-209 and -217 engines in full QEC configuration. The stand is compliant with applicable PW Specifications as they relate to engine interface and strength. The stand is designed for site transportation only, not air or truck shipment. If air or truck shipment is required, the AM-1361 Air/Truck Shipping Stand (for JT8D-208/-217) or AM-1641 Air/Truck Shipping Stand (for JT8D-9/-17) must be used. The stand up-pins and folds to minimize empty shipping volume. The engine pins securely into place quickly and easily. Bootstrapping capabilities have been incorporated into the stand for the B727/737, DC9 and MD81/82/83/87/88 Aircraft. The stand is towable from the aft end only, and the towbars do not stow on the stand when not in use. Maximum towing speed for entire stand (with engine) is 5 Km/h (3 MPH). Separate mounts are provided for the -9/-17 and -209/-217 series engine.

The AM-2805M2 Low Profile Shipping Stand is designed to transport, and/or, store the IAE V2500- A1/A5 Engine in a modified QEC Configuration. The design complies with IAE Specification IAE6R19814. The stand is designed to ship the engine in a height restricted air shipping mode. With the inlet cowl and exhaust nozzle removed, the engine stand (with engine) can air ship in DC8-55 and B737 Freighters. With the inlet cowl and exhaust nozzle  installed, the engine stand is compatible with DC10, MD11, and B747 Freighters. The engine pins securely into place quickly and easily.

Bootstrapping ( Airbus Ref# 98D71203501001) capabilities have been incorporated into the stand design. The stand is not designed with forklift pockets and must be lifted with an appropriate lifting devise. External jacking legs are included for loading the stand with or without engine onto a standard aircraft pallet loader. The external jacking legs may also be used to install casters or external shock mounts. A document container is secured to the stand for all manuals and documents.

The stand consists of a steel welded frame with removable 88 x 125 inch aluminum pallet. Tubular arms support engine mount adapters. Caster mounts must be removed prior to installing truck shipping shock mounts. Storage for shock mounts , casters, and jacking legs.are not included in the stand design and require shipment on a separate pallet. The stand is compatible with engine manufacturer\'s moisture proof bag.
