AM-1196 Center Engine Access Stand (Formerly AM-1013) for DC-10 Aircraft

Designed to provide access to the number two engine with the tail cone up or down and with the patio doors open. With the tail cone up and the doors open, slider sections (8-1/2" in width) can be extended out from the cutout section of the platform to contour around the doors. These sliders are deployed by using a "T" bar and have a protective bumper as does the front edge of the cutout area. When the tail cone is lowered a center rolling platform can be moved forward, from its stowed position at the rear of the platform, to cover up the cutout and provide a solid work surface 23' in width. A forward safety barrier is supplied for added protection while mechanics are working near the front edge of the stand and at a height where standard handrails do not provide adequate protection against a fall. The barrier is a parallelogram structure on which a safety ne has been attached. After an aircraft has been docked a mechanic can swing the safety barrier inboard. A rubber pad fastened to a foot supports the frame against the skin forward of the firewall. On each inboard side of the safety net along strap with buckle assembly has been provided and can be attached to a harness hard point on the forward patio wall and drawn tight keeping the safety barrier against the aircraft. A slotted bar keeps the barrier upright and in a stowed, outboard position.
The platform elevation is adjustable and is set at an approximate 24' during erection. Should the stand require future adjustment, lever arm hoist (Tuggits, Coffing, etc.) from airline bootstrap kits can be utilized and attached to lugs located on each leg, Adjustment is accomplished by cranking the lever arm hoist up, removing four (4) SS pins and re-pinning at the desired elevation.

Designed specifically for underwing, leading, and trailing edge access of the Lockheed L-1011 and the Boeing 747 in the jacked and un-jacked condition. Due to their vertical adjustment, excellent access is afforded to other wide-body aircraft, such as Douglas DC-10's, the family of Airbus A300's and new generations such as B767/757. Although designed for underwings, each stand (12 in total) may be used on other areas of the aircraft such as the horizontal stabilizer and elevator. Each stand has an adjustable parallelogram stair with non-skid "AERODECK" treads. Platforms match the nominal dihedral of the aircraft and have "AERODECK" flooring with slider sections at each end. Platforms are elevated by an air-operated twin jackscrew assembly driving a single scissor. Upper and lower limit devices prevent over-travel. Mobility is provided with large diameter swivel casters with locks and full-face contact brakes. Services consist of electrical and air convenience outlets. Lighting is provided in the form of fluorescent light is wired directly into junction boxes. Electrical service to the stand is from hanger power and connects to a pigtail fitting at the base of the stand. Air service to the stands also connects at the base with each stand or interconnecting stands. A connecting hose is supplied so that up to three (3) stands along the leading edge or three (3) sections along the trailing edge may be connected. Air manifolds are located on top of each platform. The elevating system is air-powered with a control valve located on top of the platform next to the stair landing. The air system is protected with a filter and lubricator. AGSE-T027 Nose Landing Gear Dolly for B777 Aircraft

The AGSE-T027 B777 Nose Landing Gear Dolly is specifically designed for local site transport of the B777 nose landing gear main shock strut with wheels and down lock removed. The dolly consists of a base assembly and fixture designed for securing the gear. A sling is needed to install the gear onto dolly. The gear secures dolly easily using the upper torsion link for an attach point, the axles, and adjustable straps on both sides of yoke. The dolly is towable, with swivel locks and face brakes on the casters.
