• Used for towing/steering A330, A340, B767, B777, DC-10 & MD-11 aircraft (specifically for United Airlines) by attaching to nose landing gear (NLG) while pulled by tow tractor
• Primarily consists of cylindrical steel body
• Lunette eye at one end of tow bar connects to tow tractor
• Mechanical head assembly at opposite end of tow bar connects to aircraft NLG
• Tow bar mounted on articulated undercarriage with hydraulic pump & retractable spring (to raise/lower tow bar)
