AM-2488 Manual & Powered Bootstrap System for MD-11 Aircraft (used with CF6-80C2 & PW4000-94" Engines)

Features:

• Licensed by Boeing Company to install & remove CF6-80C2 & PW4000-94" engines when supported by commercial engine cradles
• Powered bootstrap adapters included with system designed to accommodate cradles manufactured by various suppliers
• Input electrical power can be customized

• Consists of parts consolidated from both manual & powered bootstrap systems

o Manual system components used on wing engines (engine #1 & #3)
o Can also be used on tail engines (engine #2) when following ‘short stroke’ engine change procedure (requires forklift platform to support engine cradle)
o Powered system used exclusively for tail engine

Mobility:

• Caster mounted control panel intended for manual positioning around aircraft in hanger/flight line
• Cannot be towed

• Power source options of:

o 220 VAC, 3 Ph, 60 Hz (Single Powered Source)
o 480 VAC, 3 Ph, 60 Hz & 120 VAC, 3 Ph, 400 Hz (Dual Powered Source)
o 480 VAC, 3 Ph, 60 Hz & 208 VAC, 3 Ph, 400 Hz (Dual Powered Source)

• All containers can be raised via forklift

o Lifting beams & associated hardware stored in plywood container
o Three (3) powered hoists (with bootstrap adapters) stored in individual containers with steel bases & fiberglass lids
