The AM-2664 High Pressure Compressor (HPC) Module Shipping Container is designed for air /truck shipping.
It contains a fixture which accommodates the HPT Module of the V2500 Engine. A shock isolation system with a natural frequency of approximately 10 Hz has been provided for truck shipping. The container also has document and desiccant holders for absorbing moisture. Cover is of top grade reinforced fiberglass designed to
withstand many years of usage. Unit is primed and painted with high grade air-dry enamel with optional colors.
First-Off unit of each design is tested in accordance with all standard safety requirements and/or customers requests. Normal testing includes drop tests (flat, edge, corner), static tests (weights and pressures determined by
usage and design requirements), swing/pendulum tests (forces again determined by usage and design requirements). All “G” Loads conform to standard aerospace limitations.

The AM-2437 Hydraulic Engine Positioner is designed for use with the CF6-80C2 and PW4000 engines and may be used in conjunction with AM-3027 Rail Type Engine Cradles. The unit is adjustable from 28" to 76" (top of rail) vertically to accommodate the necessary reach upward (48" total vertical travel, total lifting time of approximately 4 minutes) for wing engine installation of A300, A310, DC-10, MD-11, B757, B767 aircraft.
The maximum load capacity of the unit is 14,000 lbs. (6350 kg). Electrical power requirements are 220V, 3 phase, 50 or 60 Hz., explosion proof. Make sure the hydraulic fluid is at the indicated level in the reservoir. The pressure setting is to be a maximum of 1800 PSI. Lateral adjustment (skew) of 1-1/2" is accomplished by turning of the two hex head screws located on one side of the stand directly below rail. The stand is also capable of pitch (0 degree - 5 degree), roll (+/-7 degree), forward and aft movements, giving it a total of 5 axis movements.
The hydraulic cylinders (pendant controlled) actuate the wire rope cable system to perform these maneuvers with the exception of forward and aft movement which is accomplished through the roller adapters mounted on the rails, or rolling the entire stand as required. Heavy duty turnbuckles provided on both wire rope cables (one each side of the stand) for fine adjustment of cable tension as needed. Foam filled tires (steerable from both ends) provided to facilitate long distance mobility to/from work areas plus good stability during all axis movements. The maximum towing speed is 3 MPH (4.8 Km/Hr.). The maximum turning radius of the unit os 16 feet (4.0 meters). Manual parking brake lever is located on the aft wheels.

Self-Erecting Gantry (AM-1200-80-100)

• Designed for complete major module removal & replacement operations
• Ease of use allows more flexibility for alignment as well as highly simplified alignment adjustments (not typically inherent in floor-mounted rail systems)
• Multi-purpose system used for individual module replacement in field to potentially eliminate need to ship complete engines
• Gantry shares pallet with Light Weight Breakdown Stand (AM-1965-E1-100) & tooling storage container

Core Shipping Stand (AM-1963-E1-100)

• Designed for handling full QEC engine & split core engine section for bootstrapping

o Aft end of core secured by trunnion mounts
o Forward end fitted with core locating ring & secured by adjustable forward mount adapters

Light Weight Breakdown Stand (AM-1965-E1-100)

• Designed for remote site handling of failed engine for local transport between pylon & gantry

o Engine secured to stand with forward & aft ground handling mounts
o Bootstrapping capabilities incorporated for A330-300 pylon

• Supported by four (4) casters with swivel locks & face brakes

o Tow bars included

Mobility:

• Four (4) caster assemblies support each of gantry, light weight breakdown stand, & core shipping stand
• Each caster assembly offers polyurethane tread wheels, swivel locks, & brakes
• Towable from both ends with a two-piece tow bar
• Maximum towing speed (with engine) is 5 Km/h or 3 MPH
