The Basic Roll-Over Stand - 11C3359P02 (AGSE-E184-G02), is specifically designed to be compliant with the GE requirements and is suitable for both (1) height restricted air or (2) truck/trailer shipping mode.

The stand (with engine in rolled position) is suitable for air transport on the main deck of B747 or B777 freighter aircrafts only in axial orientation. The stand includes a self-contained manual jackscrew for rotating the cradle and engine at 53° to achieve the minimum height and width to pass through the large side cargo door.

Several external components/assemblies must be removed to maximize door clearance. These components are listed in GE Engine Transportation Manual and are stored in container 11C3417.

For FULL Engine transportation, the following tools are required:

The AM-2690 Roll-Over Engine Shipping Stand is a Cradle and Base Assembly which is specifically designed to accommodate CF6-80C2 jet engines in a height restricted shipping mode. The stand is compliant with applicable General Electric engine handling specifications. The stand (with engine) is suitable for air transport on the main deck of B747, DC10, and MD11 Freighter Aircraft.

Bootstrapping capabilities for MD11 are standard with the stand. The stand includes a self-contained manual jackscrew for rotating the stand cradle (and engine) 35° to achieve the maximum engine shipping vibrations and shocks. Storage for the shocks are provided on the base assembly. A document container is secured to the base for all manuals and documents.

The stand consists of a separable base and cradle weldment, with the base supported by four shock absorbing caster assemblies. Each caster assembly offers a 5 inch wide by 10 inch diameter wheel for easy mobility and a wight capacity of 5,000 pound each. Shock absorbing polyurethane tread wheels, position locks, and face brakes are standard. All four caster assemblies are designed to pin in an elevated position for air/truck transport of the entire stand. The stand is forkliftable from only the right hand side. The stand is towable from either end, and includes towbar storage. Maximum towing speed for entire stand (with engine) is 5Km/h (3MPH). External truck shipping shock mounts cushion truck shipping vibrations and shocks.

The stand must never be tied directly to the truck bed. Only use the tie-down provisions on the truck shipping shock mounts. The engine should be shipped by truck with a trailer equipped with an “air-ride” type suspension system.

The design, construction and integrity of this unit is in accordance with acceptable commercial manufacturing practices. All tests of unit\'s design and structural integrity (proof load, fit & function, drop tests, hoist tests, etc.) are completed on the first article and documented accordingly.

the Base is attached to a special configured pallet (96”x188”) for air transport of entire stand, with or without engine. Base is mobile through the use of the four shock absorbing casters, each offering a load capacity of 5000 pounds, swivel lock, and face brake. The casters may be rotated upward for storage when mobility of unit is not required for any extended period of time. The casters must be
rotated upward for storage during air transport Base features include: document storage container, fork lift tube access (one side only), and two piece tow-bar (stows on base when not in use).

Unit is capable of rotating the cradle a total of 35 degrees which lowers the engine center line a total of twelve inches (12") to better accommodate the "Low Profile" features of unit. Activation of the
rotation feature is by manual ball screw actuator.

The AGSE “Loadmaster” is a unique concept in casters specifically designed to provide shock protection, load equalization, and support for heavy loads- unavailable from conventional casters.

The polyurethane wheels on these casters are mounted on an offset shock absorption system consisting of four heavy duty die springs. The “Knee Action” design keeps the casters ON THE FLOOR over uneven surfaces and ensures load sharing by all casters, reducing individual caster overload and premature failure. In addition, the “Loadmaster” caster provides excellent secondary protection for fragile loads by reducing shock inputs induced during towing operations. These casters are used primarily for jet engine transport equipment.

All “Loadmaster” casters are standard equipped with foot operated brakes and four-position swivel locks. Wheel diameters come in -

The 9C6030-P01, AGSE p/n AGSE-E100-G01, Fan Transfer Stand is designed to support either the General Electric GE90-94B or -115B fan stator assembly during quick engine change separation/mate procedure. The stand attaches to the fan stator case at designated ground handling points. The stand contains jacking caster legs for alignment during the procedure. The fan stator case provides the center connecting structure support for the stands side frame assemblies. The stand separates for storage in a reusable container. The stand must be moved manually during the procedure.

9C6045 GE90 Fan Stator Module Shipping Fixture

The 9C6045P01 (AGSE-C115-G01) is an existing 9C6015P09 that has to be modified per AGSE Service Bulletin 12-006 to disable or completely remove the hydraulic system for rotating/tipping the stand. The stand must now be rotated/tipped by using two (2) overhead hoists and slings. The hydraulic system for raising/lowering the center support section remains in place. This modification has several optional configurations depending on individual customer’s level of compliance with AGSE Service Bulletin 12-006. After compliance with the Service Bulletin the stand must be re-marked with the part number 9C6045P01 in place of the existing 9C6015P09. The ID placard also must be replaced with a new placard.

The AM-1070 Core Engine Shipping Fixture is intended to be used for shipping of the GE CF6 engine with the fan section removed. The fixture is configured to allow air shipping of engines in the underbelly section of existing aircraft, (i.e., B747, DC-10) or as main deck cargo on smaller aircraft types (i.e., B707, DC-8). The basic fixture is configured for air shipment with optional adapters for conversion to a build-up fixture for fan module installation and removal.
