This cradle is a welded steel frame equipped with forward mount supports and a removable aft mount stanchion for connection to engine ground handling points. Forward mount spindles rest on the forward mount supports and are retained by a bolted fitting and T-handle pin with a safety pin. The aft mount stanchion is pinned to the lower-end cradle and attached to the engine with a T-handle pin and safety pin.

Spindles are stored in their mounts, while the stanchion is pinned to a storage bracket on the cradle side rail.

The cradle is designed for dagger mounting on 88″ centers to a stand or trailer and is secured using six over-center latch mechanisms. Boostrap lift points consist of four steel forged eyebolts mounted to cradle cross beams. The cradle provides no shock attenuation characteristics and must be mounted to a stand equipped with shock mounts for rail or truck shipment.
