SPECIFICATIONS
This towbar contains a category V tow fitting. It attaches to the aircraft’s Nose Landing Gear (NLG) and is pulled by a tow tractor. Its body consists of a cylindrical steel tube. At one end of the body is a mechanical head assembly, which connects to the aircraft NLG. A lunette eye connects to the tow tractor at the opposite end of the body. The lunette eye is equipped with a shock-absorbing mechanism to reduce the shock load on the NLG. The body is mounted on an articulated undercarriage, which can be raised or lowered.
