Design
- Split-system consists of palletized, pinned and bolted assemblies for fan, core, and LPT/TE modules
- Removable engine ground handling mounts compatible with CF6-80A3 / CF6-80C2A engines
- Tubular arms support engine handling mounts
- Gantry allows complete major module removal and replacement operations, suitable for field and main base use
- System fabricated from structural steel conforming to ASTM A500, A513, and A36; bolted connections use A325 structural bolts or SAE Grade 5 hardware
- Unit primed and painted with high-grade, Skydrol resistant enamel; color optional. Pins and miscellaneous hardware are corrosion resistant or plated as required
Mobility
- Entire system is self-contained and palletized for transport
- Towable and maneuverable using standard aircraft pallet handling methods
- No single pallet exceeds aircraft floor loading, allowing safe air transport
