• Installs/Removes engines (when supported by cradles) to/from the aircraft
• Powered bootstrap adapters included with the system accommodate cradles manufactured by various suppliers

• System consists of parts consolidated from both manual & powered bootstrap systems

o Manual system components used on wing engines as well as tail engines when following a ‘short stroke’ engine change procedure (requires forklift platform to support the cradle)
o Powered system used exclusively for tail engine

Mobility:
• Caster-mounted control panel intended for manual positioning around aircraft in hangar/flight line
• Cannot be towed

• Lifting beams & associated hardware stored in plywood container

o Three (3) powered hoists (with bootstrap adapters) stored in individual containers with steel bases & fiberglass lids
o All containers can be raised via forklift
